Cricket batting pads built for every level
CBP cricket batting pads (also called leg guards) protect your knees, shins and ankles without slowing you down between the wickets. Every pair has a PU front with high-density foam bolsters and adjustable straps that hold the pad flush against your leg, so it stays put whether you are coming forward to a full ball or running a quick single.
The range comes in four colour editions: Green, Red, Blue and Dark Blue, plus the standard CBP Batting Pad. Each one is available in Adult, Youth and Junior sizes, in both left-hand and right-hand versions.
Choosing the right pad size
Pick pads by leg length and height, not by age alone. Measure from the centre of your knee to the top of your foot. A pad that fits well sits with the knee roll over the middle of your knee and the bottom of the pad resting on top of your shoe, not under it. Too long and it will catch as you run. Too short and your knee is exposed.

Left-hand or right-hand pads?
LH and RH pads are mirror-image pairs, with the side protection and strap buckles placed for that stance so the buckles sit on the outside of each leg. Choose RH if you bat right-handed and LH if you bat left-handed. Getting this right makes the pads more comfortable and puts the extra cover where the ball actually hits.
Leather ball or tennis ball cricket
CBP pads are built for club and academy leather-ball cricket, and they work just as well for hard tennis ball matches and long net sessions where you want protection that does not feel heavy. If you are facing real pace regularly, make sure the size is right before anything else, because a pad that fits properly protects far better than a bulky one that moves.
Looking after your pads
Wipe the PU front with a damp cloth after play, let the pads air-dry away from direct sun or heat, and store them flat rather than crushed at the bottom of a kit bag so the foam keeps its shape. Do not soak them in water, as it breaks down the padding over time.
Complete your kit
