Your fingertips should reach close to the end of each finger roll without pressing against it, and you should be able to close your hand around the bat handle comfortably. Left-hand or right-hand gloves?
The two gloves in a pair are not identical. LH and RH gloves are made as handed pairs, with the extra protection placed for that stance. Choose RH if you bat right-handed and LH if you bat left-handed, so the protection sits where the ball actually hits.
Leather ball or tennis ball
CBP batting gloves are made for both leather-ball and hard tennis ball cricket. For regular leather-ball matches against quicker bowling, make sure the fit is snug so the finger rolls stay in place when the ball hits. For tennis ball cricket, the pre-curved shape and cushioned palm give a comfortable grip for hours of batting.
Looking after your gloves
Sweat is the main enemy of batting gloves. After each session, open the gloves up and let them air-dry away from direct sun or heat, never zipped inside a kit bag. Many players rotate two pairs so each one has time to dry out, which keeps the palms soft and helps the gloves last longer. Do not machine wash them.
